Today was a rainy day, and this kind of weather makes me so excited for autumn! But what I am trying to savor is this — where we are now — what I think is the best part of summer in Colorado. When it came down to food, New York was full of more happy surprises this time around. I’m sorry to say that we barely made a dent in our list of places to eat while we were there. This means: we have to go back. But you aren’t shocked. And I like having lots of reasons to return.

I’m not sure how many years I have been making these cookies, but it’s something like 15 or so. I have never met another peanut butter chocolate chip cookie better than this (and by the way, if you are making a peanut butter cookie, WHY on earth would you not add chocolate chips?). This also happens to be the only cookie dough that I am tempted (okay, I fully admit it) to eat. Not taste. Eat! Continue reading
