This is an absolutely whimsical way to treat your strawberries this season! Honestly, I usually eat my strawberries whole, nibbling around the stems. If I’m feeling energetic, they get hulled, sliced and strewn over waffles. Galette with Fresh Cheese, Asparagus & Proscuitto

Asparagus season is here! I am so thrilled, and this year I’ve discovered a local source (Milberger Farms in Pueblo, CO) that is selling their freshly picked spears to grocery stores here in the Springs. I knew something was different a couple of weeks ago when I started snapping the ends off a bundle and caught a whiff of that GREEN and tangy fragrance that can only be from very fresh asparagus. It reminded me of my childhood and the wild asparagus we picked every spring from our country road in Palisade. Fresh Homemade Cheese

True story. If any of you hold any misconceptions about me being an organized and “on it” kind of person, this should help you overcome those myths immediately. A couple of weeks ago, I was having a typical morning running errands in the usual race against the clock. I had picked up a gallon of organic whole milk at the store for my girls, and proceeded to put it in the trunk of my car. Two days passed.
